Candidates

Caroline Lynch

Councillor Caroline Lynch is married to John and has two daughters. Caroline is a qualified teacher and has a degree in sociology and politics. She currently works with disadvantaged young people in Blanchardstown.

Antoinette Rooney

Caroline has vast experience of representing and campaigning for the people of Trim. Locally she has been to the fore in reopening the playground, assisting Trim Swimming Pool staff and securing a Community Policing  Forum. She has also lobbied for repairs to council houses and to have developers complete housing estates. Caroline has also helped establish a youth café in Meath, played a key role in Sinn Féin’s campaign to protect services in Our Lady’s Hospital and lobbied for additional funding for schools.

When re-elected, Caroline will use her extensive experience to lobby for primary school places, affordable childcare and resources for young people - a necessity in the fight against anti-social behaviour. Caroline will also focus on the difficulties faced by young families and other marginalised groups experiencing financial difficulties.
