Over fifty people from all over County Meath were in Navan recently for the re-opening of the Bobby Sands Centre on Flowerhill in the
town.
Officiating the event Sinn Féin’s vice president Mary Lou McDonald TD said "It gives me great pleasure to officially open this modern, professional centre that will cater for the needs of all the people of County Meath. We witnessed in February the election of the first Sinn Féin TD for County Meath since Liam Mellows TD 93 years ago, and in Peadar Tóibín County Meath has not had a more capable public representative fighting its corner since Mellows himself sat in Leinster House”.
The Bobby Sands Centre 45A Flowerhill in Navan is staffed by Deputy Peadar Tóibín’s Full Time Constituency Affairs Manager, former Trim Town Councilor Caroline Lynch and a range of services are now available to the general public. Caroline makes up one facet of a professional Meath Sinn Féin team that includes Peadar Tóibín TD Meath West, Navan Town and County Councilor Joe Reilly, Navan Town Councilor Caoimhe Ní Shluáin and Kells Town Councilor Conor Fergusson.
Sinn Féin can now offer the people of County Meath a full time constituency operation. Services provided include: advice and support on constituency
issues, an information service, council housing and planning applications, guidance and assistance with forms including College application, social welfare application, passport application etc. An upstairs meeting room is also available and bookings are currently being taken from resident
association and community groups.
The Bobby Sands Centre 45A Flowerhill, Navan 046 90 21345 is open from 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday through Thursday and 9.30am – 5pm on Friday. All inquiries or constituency queries will be treated with the strictest confidence and taken care of in a sound professional manner.
